The Lemosho Route is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful and less crowded trails to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Spanning seven or eight days, this camping route offers an immersive experience through Kilimanjaro’s most scenic and remote areas, providing trekkers with panoramic views, diverse landscapes, and a rewarding journey toward the Roof of Africa.

Starting on the western side of the mountain, the Lemosho Route begins in the lush rainforest, where the air is thick with the smell of damp earth and the calls of exotic birds fill the air. The trail winds through dense vegetation, crossing small streams and offering glimpses of wildlife. As you ascend, the path opens up to reveal expansive views of the Shira Plateau, one of the most stunning features of Kilimanjaro. Here, the terrain changes dramatically, with wide-open plains stretching as far as the eye can see, punctuated by the distant peaks and valleys.
